Vacancy: private equity intern
At Foreman Capital, interns are completely included in all of the team’s activities. For the duration of the internship (3-4 months), you will be a full member of the team and you will contribute to and work on different aspects of the investment life cycle, during both transactions (company acquisition or divestment) and the holding period (various projects for the improvement of the companies in the portfolio). Ultimately, your precise duties will be determined on the activities we are working on at the time of your internship.
Concrete tasks will include:
- Researching and evaluating new investment propositions and building investment cases for Foreman.
- Carrying out market surveys to identify new propositions.
- Supporting the acquisition process, including e.g. modelling in Excel.
- Supporting various projects at existing portfolio companies.
- Supporting an exit process, should this occur during the internship.
The intern may also take part in meetings with financial advisers, the managements of new propositions and other third parties.
Profile
A successful candidate will have a strong interest in investment. He/she is ambitious, hungry/eager, and has a dynamic personality and street smarts. In addition:
- He/she has strong analytical skills, which should be backed up by excellent results at secondary school and university level, with at least a bachelor's degree.
- He/she has an affinity with investment and corporate finance.
- He/she has an enterprising character, strong communication and social skills and a large degree of independence.
- He/she is a team player who challenges and develops the team as well as himself/herself
- Previous experience with internships in corporate finance, strategy consultancy or private equity is preferred.
- He/she is a Dutch native speaker
