Permadental operates in Germany and markets dentures produced for the most part by the world's largest dental laboratory in Shenzhen, China. The company supplies over 1,000 dental practices in Germany.

Paul de Vries, former CEO of Permadental
Foreman was a committed partner who stood shoulder to shoulder with me, the entrepreneur. Together, we took steps that had seemed impossible for our organisation before, such as the acquisition of a competitor. Of course, there were times of stress, but we had a lot of fun, too. We really managed to get things rolling. It was a great time and, after the proverbial blood, sweat and tears, it led to enormous success when the company was sold to a Chinese buyer. Foreman differentiates itself from most other private equity parties by investing in the company instead of withdrawing from it. I have pleasant memories of our working together.

Exit:

In 2013, Permadental was sold to the Modern Dental Group from China, one of Permadental's major suppliers. From the takeover by Foreman until the moment of sale to MDL, Permadental's founder remained beneficially involved as a supervisory director at the company.

Foreman’s value-add:

After acquiring the majority of the shares from the founder, Foreman supported the management in professionalising the organisation (by establishing reporting structures, improving the sales organisation and structuring the marketing activities, among others) and increasing sales to existing clients. Furthermore, Foreman provided additional capital for the acquisition of Semperdent, Permadental’s biggest competitor. This brought about a substantial increase in turnover, realised cost synergy and diversified the supplier base.
